Still to this day, even after hes been dead for 4 seasons, Hershel is my absolute favourite character. He was the "grandpa" of the show, and also the doctor. He completely changed the show once he showed his affectionate side and his death will always be remembered.I guess the main reason I love Hershel is because he reminds me of my grandfather a lot, so it kind of in a way hit close to home when he died. It was also ironic that my grandfather died a month after Hershel did on the show.

Hershel was all around a great guy. He took over and even did a better job of being a moral compass for the group when dale died. Even after his leg was cut off he was always optimistic, and you could tell he cared about this group deeply. He risked his life to save others all the way until the end, and I feel like a little bit of me died with him

Such a vital member of the group that was looked upon for wisdom and guidance in the apocalypse. He was a loving father to his two girls and a beloved saviour of the sick at the Woodbury prison. So sad to see him fall at the despotic hands of the governor. R.I.P Hershel Greene!
