He was the most compelling character on the show. I can't remember an episode he appeared in where every moment he had on screen didn't fascinate me. I'd kill him on sight in real life, but I find I really miss his presence on The Walking Dead. He was just so unpredictable. It's a rare villain that can both garner my sympathy and make me thoroughly enjoy watching his heinous actions. If I were running the series, I would have made it so that the scene of the Governors dead body is gone to not make Michonne walk past it as in the Midseason finale it showed Lilly shaking when she shot the gun and actually did not show him die until episode 9. If fans questioned me on the Governors fate I would say that it's mysterious and undetermined, don't focus on it for now but expect him to be brought back later down the line, his fate right now is like Morales's.
