Definitely a brilliant song, but not the doors number 1. The solos by Robby and Ray are awesome, it's Robbys first attempt at writing a track and he did produce a timeless song, but the doors released some purely epic tracks. When the musics over, unknown soldier, waiting for the sun, L.A. woman, shamans blues, end of the night, queen of the highway, wishful sinful, strange days, universal mind, wild child, I could go on all night. I hate seeing light my fire as number 1 as much as I hate seeing stairway to heaven as number 1 in other charts. Great song, but not the doors best.

THIS is the song people think of when talking about the Doors, NOT Riders on the Storm. Don't get me wrong, it's an okay song, but Light My Fire is just better. The organ-like keyboards, the soothing yet haunting guitar solo, and Jim's cool voice make this such a good song.

I don't like the doors byt I like this song, one of my favs for sure, even though Jim Morrison is overrated I love this song and Break on through should be at least in the top 3, I love the lyrics and I love the keybord playing, but I think this was one of there few good ones.

Light My Fire is to The Doors as Creep is to Radiohead. It's their most famous song, but in my opinion, it isn't even one of their top 10 best. There are just so many better ones.
