Future Trunks is by far one of the coolest characters in DBZ, his introduction alone is one of the most bad ass moments in the entire series. His back story is one of the darkest and most emotional of any character, his origin movie, and especially the scene where he goes ssj for the first time, is one of, if not the single most heart wrenching moment in all of Dragon Ball. He's also one of the smartest fighters in the whole series, being one of the only fighters who doesn't let his opponents power or level up, choosing instead to attack them quickly and get things over with. He's also arguably the most proactive character, going back in time to change the course of history, then staying to help his friends even though it won't change the future he lives in.
