I have no idea how popular it is in the rest of the World, but if there's a movie, it has to be, at least at some point. It's really not good though. As much as I usually love Scandinavian crime books in general, I really dislike this one. The plot makes no sense at times and the action is rather boring apart from few plot twists. The main protagonist and the main anthagonist are in fact both bastards, so readers can't really take sides. Actually the only person I symphatized with in a whole book was the one that made a cameo in the first and the last chapter of the book. - saaarsdej
