I read this book when I was like ten and was absolutely shocked and thrilled. But now, looking back, I know I couldn't trully appreciate and comprehend this piece of art as a child.Phillip Pullman didn't create just one world, but so so many. He questioned the Church, angels and God himself. He took us to the world for the dead ones... and all of this in book for children.. Even after all these years, I still sometimes wonder, how long Lyra and Will kept their promise, I think about poor Roger, and Ms Coulter and Lord Asriel ( my favourite characters! ). The film wasn't bad, but... yeah, It's probably impossible to film something like this properly.Because of this serie, I started writting and for that, I will be thankfull to Phillip Pullman for the rest of my life. Breathtakingly beautiful and courageous
