This is a phenomenal series. It's just so creative with the world of the Unknown, but never feels over the top or goofy. It's a fantasy cartoon that knows when to use comedy and when to take itself seriously. The plot also has some wonderful twists and turns that really do make sense. The characters are also lovable, such as the self conscious teenager Wirt (who seems like a pushover, but does have a sense of willpower), the curious and adorable Greg, the sarcastic bluebird Beatrice, and even the side cast is memorable and lots of fun. You can just get sucked into this world's atmosphere and really get invested. There's just one problem- it's way too short. Something as gorgeous and creative as this should not have 10 episodes that are only 11 minutes long while Teen Titans go has more than 150. That's just stupid. Still, for what it's worth, this is a fantastic cartoon miniseries that everyone should take a look at. - Elric-san

I can't describe how good this mini-series is. It's the first cartoon besides Madoka to make me cry. It stars 2 brothers named Wirt and Greg, later a blue-bird named Beatrice. They got lost in a forest named the Unknown for good reasons. In the first episode, we learn about a creature known as the Beast, who haunts the woods in search for souls who have lost hope in ever finding their way back home. The characters are great, with the addition of a great plot. The most noticeable difference it has from other cartoons is the dark atmosphere, with amazing music. Go and watch it now!I won't spoil anything, but I feel like the interaction between the characters were great too. Especially Wirt and Greg.

Over the Garden Wall was a mini series on Cartoon Network and only lasted 10 episodes. Yet its 1000x better then the current shows.The Artwork in the show is GORGEOUS and the music to go along with it is also GORGEOUS the plot of the story was fantastic and the characters were very dynamic (Changed a lot) it's a shame this was not a lot higher on the list. As the episodes went on it only got better and better and I HIGHLY recommend watching this, trust me you wont regret it at all.

This is by far my favorite show alongside Steven universe. It is able to immerse itself in its unique style and atmosphere that not many cartoons do. The plot is smooth and intriguing, the characters are realistic and have great interactions. This was my favorite show on CN (Not counting AS) but more episodes would have ruined it. It's a bit sad that TTG is more well-known than this. More episodes would have ruined the magic and story of the show. OtGW was the darkest kid's show I have ever watched, but that's one of the reasons I liked it. The creators of this achieved a better show than all of CN (and most of AS) in 150 minutes or less, while we still have shows like TTG and Clarence on air. CN is dying. Regular Show is gone, the old ones are LONG gone, Over the Garden Wall never shows on normal T.V., and TTG is still going. WHY, CARTOON NETWORK, WHY?

I know this series is pretty short but it was amazing to watch. I didn't know what to expect at first, but after watching the first episode I was so excited to watch the next one. It was only when I got into the middle of the series that I realised that the story has a much deeper meaning, which got me even more excited!

Really good show that was unfortunately a 10 episode mini series. It's kind of like Gravity Falls but it's darker and has better music. It amazes me that shows like Uncle Grandpa get a full series while this masterpiece gets 10-15 minute episodes that was shown over 4 days.
