Please, everybody, listen to the Frank Sinatra version of this song.It's my personal favorite although all other versions of course are awesome to listen to as well. It literally gives me goosebumps for how amazingly he sings it. Listening to Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas gives me endless memories of playing in the snow, a beautiful Christmas tree in the house, everybody cheery and enjoying the holiday spirit. "Here we are as in olden days, happy golden days of yore. Faithful friends who are dead to us gather near to us once more". This line summarizes the spirit of Christmas and why even non-Christians love it so dearly. Because it's about spending what little time we have with each other and to think of the good times. I love this song. Every time I hear it, I think of a warm fireplace, and a glistening Christmas tree, and a family gathered together around the fire, just happy to be with each other, and all of my worries just wash away. This song makes me so happy, and at the same time, a little sad, because I think of that beautiful scene, and I wish I could be there; it's just that good. Every time I listen to this song, I cry, and it's the only time I've ever cried, and at the same time, felt so incredibly happy. The song is just so powerful, but in a way that is just so calm and peaceful, and beautiful.
