I grew up playing the original spyro the dragon trilogy, but I still think dawn of the dragon was the greatest spyro game on PS2. It was a fairly hard game for me at times. But the overall entirety of the game should earn it no. 2 on this list. It may have been the successor of a new beginning and eternal night, both of which I found extremely hard and unintentional. And dawn of the dragon was just so awesome back in the day. It had good atmosphere and cool designs. It made the spyro series so much cooler before they released that low quality ripoff version of spyro in that childish and uncivilised skylanders series. That made spyro look like he was on meth with a grieving problem because he misses the original ps1 trilogy. Anyway I love dawn of the dragon. To me it was the best.

This was the first series of Spyro games I ever played, so have a bias. But, the story line was amazing throughout the last trilogy of Spyro, and I loved how you could finally play as Cynder! Still, I am saddened by the fact that the Spyro series was turned into Skylanders when there was an amazing legacy to be seen here. This game will forever be my favorite out of the LoS trilogy.

It rates over nine thousand out of ten in my book!

I have played this game on almost every console, and I have to admit, the PlayStation 2 version is the best out of all. The fact, that you can play through the entire story in two player mode in a beautiful world, and with stunning gameplay mechanism is simply amazing. This a masterpiece, that everyone should add to their collection.

This is probably the last spyro game that has any real depth or emotion (yes even when compared to the originals) and the gameplay is not as bad as everyone says it is (trust me). The question is though, will we ever get another Legend of Spyro game or even another spyro game with this kind of depth or emotion put into it?

I can deal with change. The music was beautiful and the graphics were beautiful (had it on my ps2). We're too bright at times, but it was great over all. It was a challenge to beat. I like a challenge. The storyline was good too. I wish they'd make another. But unfortunately the rights to spyro were sold to the people that make the skylanders games.

This is my favourite game of all time! I love everything about it! Story, gameplay, graphics, 2-player co-op, more realistic than the eternal night and a new beginning, and the armour too, I should totally get my best friend to play when she has the time! She will not regret it!

Great game! Even though it's not an old original It's fun! Great freedom! Cool story line I like how you can play as spyro and cynder. Not bad I like it. It's much more serious and not as kiddy as old ones but defiantly great!
