She's definitely my favorite character besides Stefan and Katherine. Caroline had the best development through out the whole show (Damon had an amazing development as well). She went from an insecure little girl to the strongest character in the show. She always helped her friends and gave them a second chance, despite everything. She is an amazing friend and literally one of the most selfless characters. She was treated so badly by everyone and had so many terrible things happen to her yet she never stopped being a good person. She's definitely one of the funniest and cutest characters ever and I love how soft and yet badass she can be. She is an amazing mother and deserved so much better. I was so mad that she didn't get her happy ending but she never gave up and she never will because she's Caroline Forbes, that's what she does, she'll always fight for herself and her loved ones. - Salvatorewitch

Caroline is easily the best character on TVD, theres no doubt. Had she not have been a character, I probably wouldnt have watched the show a million times and fall more and more in love with it every time. Its like what someone already said, when she became a vampire I immediately loved her character. Its almost as though before she turned she used that control freak side to conceal her true emotions. Then when she turned she became a feminist icon and a true best friend. She fell in love with herself. Which Elena never was, she was so focused on finding love that she barely cared about her friendships or even her brother. I really hope Candice is going to be in a lot more movies/T.V. shows.

She's been almost everyone's best friend at one point or another. I don't mean literal best friend, but the best friend to have in a certain moment of time. She's dealt with always being second best to her mother dying to everyone always leaving her. She's so strong and caring and kind and deserves the whole damn world. She grew from a girl who felt like competition was inevitable to a woman who knew when to pick her battles. By far the best character TVD has seen.

She is the best and strongest female character. She had basically been sexually assaulted by Damon in season 1 and managed to get over it and still be a strong women. She survived turning into a vampire all by herself and looked after herself. She was tortured and still protected her friends. She would be goals for any strong dependent women and she still seems to be overlooked!

There's just something about Caroline...she evolved so much from her original self. She became stronger, and dealt with all the pain in her life and not once broke down or gave up or turned of her humanity. She made the best out of being a vampire, and ended up gaining out of it. She is kind, sweet, sticks by her friends, and by far my favourite character in Vampire Diaries.

Caroline starts the series as the insecure, neurotic, jealous frenemy of Elena Bonnie and is more caring of popularity and appearances, until she is turned. Her transformation is the turning point where she develops true, deep emotional relationships with the other characters, and begins to see the strengths that reside in her, which develop her into not just the strongest woman on the show, but one of the most mature and strongest characters period. She is sweet, kind, fiercely loyal, willing to do anything it takes to save the ones she loves, and can be mature enough to make the hard decision, even when its painful for her. Caroline, along with Damon, is the most developed character on TVD, and it make me admire her the most.

I think, of all TVD's characters, Caroline Forbes is the most awesome. She was first portrayed as the cliched shallow bitchy cheerleader, but episode after episode she has improved so much that I began to absolutely LOVE her. She is a loyal friend, and probably the most moral and bubbly vampire of all the vamps in TVD. I can never bring myself to hate her, I support her and whoever it is that she chose to be with- I don't really care if she is with Matt, Tyler or Klaus, and even Enzo. I mean, I love Elena, but there are moments that I absolutely hate her, I love Bonnie, Damon, Klaus, Stefan, etc. but there are moments that I despised them. But Caroline? - I just love her. Love her, Love her, and Love her.
