As horrible a person he was, and don't agree with their opinion, I can see why people may have been persuaded to vote for Adolf Hitler. Germany was in a terrible state at the time; struggling to survive after the WWI aftermath, and had such a large currency inflation that there was more money thrown on the streets than there is litter on most which I see. The country was in ruins, and people were so desperate for a ray of hope, that when Hitler, a charismatic descent man with a plan to save the country came around, they believed in him even though what he proposed was highly immoral. They were desperate for a solution, and when Hitler said to punish (not yet slaughter) the Jews for their problems because they were responsible, the general public bought into it. The USA however, is not currently as bad as post WWI Germany.
