Simply an over-powered and unimaginative fellow, all of the films, video games, and other media about him have been terrible since his (very) early days, I.E. the days in which he could leap buildings in a single bound, run faster than a speeding bullet, and be more powerful than a locomotive... NOT fly through space, fly faster than light, and punch apart a planet. He had potential with the basics, but over the years, he has become the conglomerate of every poor writer's attempts at making him newer and better, only accomplishing the process the degradation of one of the most iconic superheroes. As an afterthought: he can VERY easily defeat his greatest weakness, Kryptonite, by merely blowing it up with his mind, need I say more?

Superman haters make me laugh. Superman is very powerful but *NEWS FLASH* that's why they gave him WEAKNESSES! And be honest, what other superhero doesn't find a way to "dodge their weakness" once in a while? And even IF he was unstoppable, that still wouldn't matter because its not about who wins in a fight, its whether he does the right thing. I don't know whether I SHOULD or shouldn't be surprised that the people on this list FAIL to recognize that. Call me a fanboy all u want,but superman is a great hero regardless of whether he has a hard time doing it or not.

I get how everyone says he is over powered, but really? Number 2? So many people prefer batman over Superman because Superman is said to be overpowered, but Superman's worst enemy is Lex Luthor, a man with an IQ of 200! Now tell me could batman or any other hero fight him like Superman is capable to? No. Not that I don't like batman, but Superman is over powered because he has to fight villains who are over powered. Supermans issue isn't that he's not powerful enough (he could go tow to tow with goku and win), his people, is that he's just TOO powerful. There isn't really any suspense for this guys battles. You know superman can just pull something out of his butt and win. When he died against doomsday, people loved it because it showed he wasn't invincible. But in new 52, he beats the crap out of everyone with no questions asked. It's no fun rooting for a guy who never ever struggles.

It is more than just "overpowered"..in Injustice he killed Joker very brutally.He blamed Batman for the death of her wife.He didn't listen Batman to stop crime,and killed Captain Atom and...Green Arrow(that moment wants to make me cry;-;Poor thingy)He breaked Batman's bones despite Batman refusing to fight him and just telling him the truth.Not enough for ya? What about how he revealed who is Batman to the whole Worms? Or ignoring his friends advices and listening to a enemy that is just here to annoy him.Or killing a lot of people and being proud about it? come on,i haven't read the end of the series but even you're fanboy,you have to admit he has gone crazy and done very bad things..

I have never heard of most the superheroes on this list? Anything to do with the Justice League, Avengers or X-Men should be off limits.They all have great presence, powers and backstories. 36 of the top 40 on this list are as lame as it gets. Come on, how the Hell is Superman #3? He is probably the most powerful of them all. We just need to find different villains for him to fight. Luther and Zod are getting old.
