Kirby is such a great series. I've been playing Kirby games since I was 5 years old and now I'm 18 and still love them to this day. One thing I really like about this series is that you can play as Kirby, fly (not all video game characters can fly), inhale different enemies, and gather copy abilities from them. Some of my favourite copy abilities are sword, fire, ice, ninja, water, wheel, and stone. Kirby 64 is even cooler because you can mix any two copy abilities and get an even more powerful ability. Some of my favourite mixed abilities from this game include animal statues from stone and cutter, dynamite from stone and bomb, and ice bomb from ice and bomb. I would definitely recommend Kirby as a first video game to anyone who is new to video games. Especially Kirby's Epic Yarn because it is so cute and so easy, ideal for young beginners. Mario are really, if you think about it, rehashes (before you kill me, I still love both) whose experiments, some were great, others not. The Kirby series, however, they manage it to be FUN. There was no real craphole that made the series look bad (Zelda CDI), probably the most creative Nintendo franchise, the most fun I've had with any gaming franchise, great music of Zelda, great platforming of Mario, and it's just so colorful! Although I've grown up with Mario more (before I could read, yes), I ADORE this franchise. Not only the best Nintendo franchise, but the best gaming franchise in my opinion.

Kirby brings an interesting gameplay style and it helps you cool down. In most kirby games, limited resources aren't a problem. Also, its cute art style and gameplay never fails to make somebody smile. The music is absolutely mind-blowing (My favorite theme being Fountain Gardens from Kirby's Epic Yarn) it can be very happy and also can be hardcore and epic. The bosses are absolutely mind-blowing, especially the designs. Overall, Kirby's an amazing franchise that you should play.

Kirby is so underatted. My favourite franchise. Unlike Mario kirby has story an characters and that is said by someone whose favourite game is super mario galaxy... Other than that Mario is not as good as they describe it to be(there are also the rpgs BUT only them and today not them either) Don't get me wrong I love Mario but just my 2nd favorite franchise... As for zelda... I can say nothing because I haven't played them. I thought it was borind. It's not in my style... Now for pokemon I just love it... Third favourite franchise. Kirby now offers great gameplay, story, music, gameplay and characters. But hey, just my opinion

This is a seriously underrated franchise with a lot of deep story, plot, and character development that gets overlooked because of the relatively low amount of direct narrative. There is so much the series leaves for interpretation for everyone to speculate about, especially when it comes to some of the true villains of the series. This is such a simplistic game in many ways, but it has hidden complexity that goes beyond a happy pink blob eating things.

When Kirby experiments, it's actually fun. He hasn't had any notably terrible games. And so what if it's easy? It's not meant to be hard (IGN). Amazing music, rivaling Sonic and Final Fantasy. I mean it. The games are so fun to play. And it's probably the most sadly underrated franchise on this list. Mario and Pok茅mon are great, but have notably terrible games. Zelda is beautiful, but it has the cdi games downplaying it. Kirby has no downplaying games. A masterpiece series is what Kirby is. And I could say more about how amazing this series is, but we'd be here for hours.

Kirby is just another brand of Nintendo excellence in which the music, visuals gameplay, etc. are all amazing. With that said, I could have honestly chosen any of these franchises in the top ten. However, I voted for Kirby for several reasons:1. Most gratifying and care free experience of a game2. Can still be immensely challenging (especially completion)3. The franchise works just as well when it strays from its formula4. Many memorable moments in the story/boss battles5. Surprising amount of story behind the characters6. Timeless soundtracks7. Always mixing up the experience (THOSE COPY ABILITIES! Animal Friends! )8. Fun mini-games. I could go on.Overall, the series does an excellent job incorporating a mixture of things which would normally not go together such as cute/tough, lighthearted/challenging, formulaic platforming/unusual approaches, and a strong blend of newness and nostalgia with each release.

Kirby still goes by Sakurai's rule of kirbyism, mak the game simple for beginners, but challenging for hardcore players. This makes Kirby unique, and truly, there has never been a bad kirby game, they're all good fun, and kirby lore is so fun to delve into as well. The star warriors, King dedede, and heck, bandana dee's training is even interesting. Truly my favorite series ever.
