The Fox and the Hound is a Disney classic and its pretty underrated. I feel like this movie is one of the saddest of the Disney movies because I feel like friendship is very important. And how Tod and Copper lost their friendship. My eyes were filled with tears during the whole course of the movie. I was crying like a baby when Widow Tweed had to leave Tod and worst of all the song was not making it better. If your looking for a downer this is your movie.

This movie stands not only as Disney's most mature meaning, but also as one of their more somber pictures as well. The two fox and the hound (it's been forever since I saw this movie but I now one of them's named todd) make friends and, like has happened in my life multiple times, they are forced to become opposite sides on the battlefield because of the roles that they were meant to play that were laid out by society.

This one was a real sucker punch right in the feels, because they know that they can't be friends, you know it too, and even though they still regard each other as friends, they can never have any friendly interactions ever again. If you are looking for a great story that will leave you with a sense of realism, and you have not seen this film, then I could not possibly recommend it more.

This movie has always made me want to be loyal and loving to all of my friends. Even though time may fast, the love and memories will never fade. I wish good will to all of my friends, the ones who I see everyday and to those who are faint in my heart. I now understand why not all friendship last forever, society is telling us what could not be. One day I will own two dogs and name one Copper and Todd.

How could this not be number 1? The entire story of 2 friends from childhood who are drawn apart by the cruelty of reality is heart-wrenching. Not to mention the scenes where Tod is left behind in the game reserve, the knowing smile he shares with Copper, and the way he watches over his childhood home at the very end. Oh, and I can never, EVER, listen to the Best Of Friends song without sobbing.

This was indeed a sad Disney movie. Tod is the reason I started liking foxes and Amos was the reason I started hating hunters. I didn't like the ending as much because it left me puzzled. Are Tod and Copper still best friends? Will Amos Slade return to hunting Tod down after healing his injury? Does Tod reunite with Widow Tweed? Where will Tod and Vixey stay after the flames burned down their home?

Wow, just wow. This should be top of the list. It's just so relatable for anyone. Everyone loses friends, and a lot of the time everyone feels like they're the only friend that still cares about their friendship, and that for me is so sad. To be given up by the only two people in the world you've ever cared about, to be totally alone in the world.BUT, I think lilo and stitch should be on here.

This was one of my favorites as a kid. I cried then and even now when I hear the song best of friends I tear up. I really wish this had ended better like the old man being eaten by the bear and the dogs and Todd going to live with the old lady.almost every Disney movie has a good ending whyd they have to break my heart this time?

It was not that this movie was sad, it was that it was more in Disney's darker tone. Copper and Tod at the end will never see each other again since they grew up and focused on other things... They moved on.In other words, this movie is painful to watch if you cry to friends becoming enemies, abandon ship, or anything else in this movie that is sad.
