No. slenderman is not scary, creepy, or even slightly uncanny. I was in highschool when slenderman started to gain traction. my sophomore year is when he first popped up and at first it was actually pretty creepy, nothing but a series of pictures, some video, and a vague idea of what he was. but over the years he's been over exposed, over explained, and watered down to the point where he's just a caricature of what he used to be. that fact that he's only #6 is insulting. and the fact that people claim that he is one of the few pastas that "actually scared them" and "one of the greatest pastas ever" is how people talk about and describe him, just goes to prove how many 16 year old edgelords read creepypastas anymore.
