Charlie is the most beautiful character ever--he bleeds emotion. This book changes you, in a way that other books never will. I was changed forever when I read this. It helped me discover myself. It was NOT written sloppily--that's how it was meant to be written. It was from the point of view of a teenage boy who had so many feelings rushing through him all the time, who was trying to find himself. It brings up everything that is so important (keep in mind--not GOOD, but important)--suicide, rape, molestation, abortion, rejection, depression, drugs...the list could go on and on. These messages are important. This book is beautiful. Inspirational. Life-changing.
