So countries with an abundance of natural resources and energy are those with the most potential to become a superpower, like Canada. Canada's has the natural resources and potential to be an economic superpower. Canada also process tons of the worlds next gold, fresh water. The United States could end up paying Canada billions for this in the future. If Canada puts a hold on the northwest passage they'll be rich using it as an international trade route. Canada does have the ability to become a world superpower by 2050, (No it may not happen) Because of all the resources it contains. Eventualy, major countries will need more resources, and will Canada having many types of resources, there will be many opportunity there. The recent "Trade War" in my opinion, will only make Canada stronger, as it could pottentialy teach Canadian officials, to not be so reliant on the USA, or more specificaly, the USA under Trump and other crude presidents like him.
