8th best episode to me. This episode has very high drama and it has a powerful showdown with Rick and Shane. One thing that should have happened was that the showdown in season episode 10 should have been a bit more intense and have it so that Shane did not have this showdown and if that happened Shane would still be alive longer. I think they killed off Shane too soon and I think that they should have let him live up to the end of season 3 and substitute Merle death and have done the reckless thing which in turn would let Merle live a lot longer. Even though I think Rick and Shane did not see eye to eye, I think after episode 10 Shane calmed down more and understands Rick and in fact he was quite calm at the beginning of episode 12 but the thing that made him go crazy was when Lowry talked to him when he was fixing something. Shane had so much potential if he had lived longer to see the governor and die recklessly by him to make the plot more better and unique with Merle alive and ... more

No I disagree, Shane was out of control. He wanted Rick's wife. Just like Risk said, Shane acted as if Rick was in the way. I get they were best friends which was so obvious and funny when Shane tried to carry Rick from the hospital bed but Shane was very insensitive from the start, wanting to kill Randall, wanting to leave the crew in Atlanta, wanting to forgoe the search for Sophia, heartless.
