(SPOILERS AHEAD!)The ending is REALLY tragic. I think it might be a little too much for kids to enjoy the movie. Some other things I found interesting is the selection of Jason Bateman to portray a semi-antagonist character and how there is a confusion between how exactly is the protagonist and the confusing ending.For the record, I don't think Gordo really impregnated the wife. What ruined his life was a rumor of something that never happened. Bateman's character ruins a competing co-worker with lies too. Only fitting that Gordo uses that against him. They also focused on the babys blue eyes at the end, implying that it actually was Jason Batemans characters baby. Also in the deleted/alternate ending it shows Gordo being kind to the kidnapped dog. And he was also only ever kind to the wife (besides the drugging her) so I don't think he'd go that far.The ambiguity of the ending was a brilliant move by the writers.
