This guy has some big balls under his humble and honourable attitude. He challenged stannis when he felt it was needed, cause it was the right thing to do. He can confront melissandre even thou he has brain washed Stannis. He doesn't hide from his responsabilities, neither from what he has done wrong.In the book he is even more admirable. Coming from a pretty humble life, he made it to become a knight which even a king pretender with divine influences like stannis listens to. That's quite the achievement.

Davos is my favorite, and proves you can be a gentle soldier and commander. Dude was a father to Shireen, did everything he could to help those in command, but was not so blinded by loyalty that he'd forsake his morals. Would love to see him serve as Hand of the King
