Bringing mythology to the modern world was a lot more interesting to read about than I thought. I was hesitant to begin this series but glad I did. Percy has an amazing way of narrating and is also very humorous. I loved the fights as well and how he never backed down, even when the situation seemed impossible. Annabeth was also a fun character to read about and I wish there was more Grover in this series! Thank goodness there was another series following this one because I needed more Percy to read!

I was always into Greek Mythology, even before I started reading the series. Percy Jackson is my favorite book series EVER, even beating Harry Potter for my, which is HUGE. It helped me learn a lot of Mythology while keeping me hooked and reading one after another in two days, which actually isn't long at all to me. It's just my favorite series ever, and I was crying when it was over. Thank goodness for Heroes of Olympus!

This book is simply AWESOME! It incorporates the idea of mythology into the real world. Additionally, it can peak the reader's interest, making him or her want to continue reading it. The reader can also identify with the protagonist, Percy Jackson, very much, like how he was so confused and scared when he first got to camp, how he was forced to carry the weight of the sky on his shoulders by free choice [like how we have to carry our everyday burdens until we can't seem to breathe], how he had to make difficult decisions [sometimes the best choices are not always the easiest], etc. This book really taught me a lot about life. It's truly wonderful. PJO for the win! =D

I would like to vote lord of the rings but seeing as how this series actually has teenagers as the main characters it is probably more relatable and more fun to read than lord of the rings in the minds of most teenagers. Also I'm talking about the first five books not the Heroes of Olympus. - maverick88

This is an amazing series. It's funny and action-packed. I didn't really acknowledge mythology before this. This book made me fall in love with mythology. The characters are amazing and they balance eachother out. They all have their own personality. Rick Riordan did an amazing job writing this book.

This was the book series that really got me into reading. It has totally relatable characters, lots of humor and sass, and such an amazing plot! Also, I learned more from it than any class on mythology that I've ever taken- and I enjoyed it a whole lot more too.
