I love Belle so much! I never saw Beauty and the Beast when I was a kid. I actually only saw it a few months ago! Anyways, Belle is amazing. She is one of, if not my favorite Disney princesses. It amazes me how Beauty and the Beast is still relevant today. I saw a video on how it touched on how outsiders, like Belle and Adam are treated as if they are less than others and don't really have their voices heard. I especially love the live action remake (I know I'm going to get backlash lol) and it is by far the best Disney remake. Belle is so smart and she is so intelligent, and isn't willing to get swept up in a "romance" that low-key completely bashed earlier Disney romances. She is willing to give up her life for her father. I respect that so much. She is the princess I most relate to, not being able to fit in, but she doesn't just mope around, she finds her own place. Even though it took the whole movie. I would like to think that would be how I deal with things and just find my own place. Not only that but she is so pretty, I love her eyes. And the fact that she was willing to save her dad from a horrible beast. She has her goals set which is a lot more than some other princesses who have to learn lessons in their movies, she teaches the lesson. She was right through the whole movie and she knew it. And just the face that she can read and is intelligent enough to reject Gaston, I give her bonus points because shes not afraid to show how different she is. She doesn't hide it and I respect that. Her name really lives up to its meaning: beauty. She's beautiful on the outside and on the inside (animators did drew inspiration from Judy Garland and Julie Andrews). She's intelligent (reads books), talented (sings, dances, rides a horse, does household chores), family-oriented (bravely sacrifices her own freedom in return for her eccentric inventor father's), strong, independent (she's the heroine who broke the spell, I mean come on), and she dreams big (song cue, "I want adventure in the great wide somewhere"). She is unanimously hailed as the most beautiful in their village (slow clap). She is responsible for changing the way women should be portrayed which makes her an icon. Belle wasn't judgmental (a beast, enchanted furniture... Who cares? ), instead, she showed acceptance and understanding. She was more mature and womanly for her young age. I think Belle is absolutely gorgeous and the best Disney princess hands down.Even though she is unanimously thought to be the most beautiful girl in her village, she doesn't let it get to her. In fact, she does quite the opposite. Not only is she different, but she doesn't care. She likes being who she is, she embraces it. She is selfless and the most open minded out of them all. She gave up what she thought would be her freedom for the rest of her life, for her dad. She not only saw past the Beast's grizzly exterior, but also saw the potential in him without knowing there was a beautiful prince underneath.Not only is she (the most) beautiful, but it is all natural beauty. Belle doesn't wear much makeup or dress extravagantly. I love how only once Belle got dressed up and even then it was her natural grace that made her that much more beautiful in the dress.Side note: one of my favorite things about her is how well she reads people. Belle is gorgeous, smart, and amazing. She is no one's damsel in distress and was able to see past the Beast's *ugliness*. Sure, she might not go on huge adventures like Mulan and Ariel, but that doesn't stop her from being the prettiest and smartest Disney princess. She taught a lesson to the world and solved her problems with a good book and a kind heart. She was able to save the prince, which no other Disney princess has done and will ever do. She saved her father just because she knew it was the right thing to do. She also turned down the most handsome man in town and fell for the ugliest monster she's ever seen because he had a kind heart. Yes, Belle is gorgeous, but that's not the only reason she was rated #1 on the prettiest Disney princess list. "She was able to save the prince, which no other Disney princess has done and will ever do." --- This statement is incorrect. Belle was not the first Disney Princess to save her prince. That title rightly and fully belongs to Ariel, the mermaid princess. And plenty of other princesses save their princes, not just Belle. What about Pocahontas? Mulan? Also, as for being the "most caring princess," I flat out disagree that Belle is the most loving and kind princess. Those titles belong to Snow White and to Cinderella, not to Belle. - M54
