First off, Trekkies thought that sequel was about to flop after the teaser trailer seen on YouTube had a negative reaction. To make up for it, another trailer was released so that it will have positive reaction. Second of all, this isn't going have the Borg as the enemies who will assimilate anybody else. That never took place during the TNG timeline with Jean-Luc Picard. Third, Anton Yelchin who plays Chekov has passed away this year.Of course, Star Trek Beyond was an amazing sci-fi and action film this summer. This is a fun adventure of the heroic crew of the USS Enterprise who goes up against an evil enemy who threatens to destroy civilization in space. Everything took a different turn when several space fighters take out the USS Enterprise causing to fall and crash. Captain Kirk, Spock, Bones, Sulu, Uhura, and Scotty must find a way to complete their mission to save as many lives as possible from a dangerous weapon that consumes life before it falls into the wrong hands. ... more

In my opinion, this is a very overlooked movie. It did not do that great at the box office, and has the lowest rating of the reboot franchise on Rotten Tomatoes. I would definitely recommend this movie. The story is very good, the visual effects are amazing, go rent this on Redbox, or buy it. You'll thank me later, especially if you are a star trek fan.

Review-I thought Star Trek movies were terrible until this came out. Star Trek Beyond was an awesome film, packed with action packed scenes. Recommended for all Star Trek fans. I watched Star trek Into Darkness just alittle. But this movie was SURPRISINGLY good.
