I actually enjoy Hetalia a lot. Especially because it's convenient and I learn a little bits of history from it. But the fandoms are a bit intense. Well, I don't mind if you ship the most weirdest things or the most common ships but don't hate other people for their opinion. Just because you like it doesn't mean everyone has to like it. I don't care if you hate yaoi ships or hate this chrarcter for being annoying, it's your opinion and share it if you must but don't bully people into liking or hating it too. That's how you repel people from liking the actual anime and the anime is just a fun thing to watch. It's perfectly enjoyable without extreme fans and haters interrupting my experience by forcing me to like or hate something. So please the extreme fans or haters, respect others and cool down.

Yeah I agree I remember the good o'l days when we could just watch the series for a laugh and for fun, we could share what we liked about the anime...but then things changed all of a sudden and the fandom just became awful and it just got worst and worst over time and eventually that made me leave it. Now don't get me wrong here I still like the anime and watch it few times here and there but now it's kind of something that's in the past and I avoid the fandom as much as possible which makes me really sad not just cause of the fact that the fandom is ruined but the entire series got ruined by weird and messed up people I have never looked at it the same again...and I never will.

Well... Hetalia in general isn't a TERRIBLE show its actually quite funny. I haven't really heard much about the fandom being terrible... The only thing is about those weeaboo a that say "OMMMGGGH LIEK GERMANY IS MINE" but what really pushes my buttons is how the fandom treats the Female country's... I honestly HATE that! But what is even worse are the Original Characters... Don't want to get me started but these people have Mary Sues for example there is an earth OC that is emo and shy not to mention a teenager. Wouldn' earth most likely look in their mid 30s sorry off track. I would in general recommend the show its just the fandom that's no good. But at least we aren't the Steven Universe fandom.

I actually is a Hetalia fan. It's funny, and make me get interested in history. But its fandom just keeps getting on my nerves. I don't really hate all of the ships, some of them are historically accurate, but the rest are NOT. For example, Prussia and Canada are not relevant in any perspective but PruCan gets a bunch of supporters. And the OCs are terrible too. Most of them are just irrelevant to the actual place and its culture. I guess not the whole fandom is that bad, but some fangirls/fanboys just turn it into one of the worst fandom in the Internet.

I used to be in the fandom because other cultures and languages interest me, especially when people are jokingly have fun with it (the pre justices). And really, Hetalia IS hilarious, especially when your country is one of the mains. You can laugh about your own mistakes.But the fandom. Oh god, let's not even get started. All they can do is ship the characters. EVERYTHING IS SHIPPING. And if you don't support one of the main ships, you receive hate. Also there are terrible city OCs that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual city's culture.

The Hetalia fandom. One fandom that I sometimes regret joining; not all fans are insane but the ones I am following on a group are. When I joined this fandom, the fans were not welcoming towards me. They would get angry for any things I said, any jokes I didn't understand they would get angry, any post I posted would have a hater. Ship bashing is one of the reasons this fandom makes people leave, the fangirls (*cough* weebs *cough*) and the fanart. Female characters are hated on because it has nothing to do with yaoi, yaoi ships are constantly shoved down your throat, and most of the damn fanart are characters having sex. If you wish to watch Hetalia, go ahead I won't stop you; I love the show itself but not the fanbase. Please, just stay away from this toxic fanbase and you're good.

So I love Hetalia, and consider myself part of the fandom. One of the main joys is partaking in all of the weirdness. I see why people would be freaked out by it though. I mean, I'll totally pray to Lord Doitsu and stare into Romano's super animu eyes, but I understand why some people wouldn't be into...that.Even considering this, I've actually found a lot of the Hetalia fans to be really nice people in general. While on Tumblr or the Wikia page, I really haven't seen anything negative. The community is actually pretty friendly compared to other fandoms such as Call of Duty.Over all, people in the fandom are pretty nice...but seriously...we're weird as hell.

I am indeed a HUGE fan of Hetalia, however, there is one flaw about that: FAN BASE. FAN F-ING BASE. Out of everywhere, there comes a huge flood of shipping art when you only want to find a picture of your favourite character, for example; and also, speaking of that, what also makes me cringe in pain is... Yes, ship wars: God, I am already SO SICK of all these ship wars when one person tries to prove their ship is canon, another one claims it is not... Immortal combat, dammit.
