我是克罗地亚人，我不想写我们是有史以来最好的体育国家，也许是人均，但是我们是一个很小的国家，有很多人才。我们的问题是我们的政府，因为在美国你可以参加任何运动，在我们国家你可以富有和出名。很多年轻人不能做运动，因为他们很穷，他们没有时间分享。你只能靠体育生活，如果你是一流的。我个人认识很多人他们打羽毛球或其他运动，如摔跤、手球、跆拳道，他们有全职工作，他们有来自欧罗巴和世锦赛的奖牌，克罗地亚不能为我们的运动做得更好，这很遗憾，我相信，如果我们在未来做的话，我们将在每一项运动中做得更好

I am Croatian, and I don't want to write that we are best sport nation ever (maybe per capita), but we are very small country with lot of talent. Our problem is our goverment because in America you can play any sport and be rich and famous in our country a lot of young people cannot do sports because they are poor and they don't have time to share. You can live from sport only if you are in top class. I personaly know a lot of guys that play futsall or other sport like wrestling, handball, kickboxing and they have full time jobs( they have medals from europian and world championships) its shame that croatia can't do better for our sport and I'm sure that if we do in future we will be more better in every sport.

Croatia is definitely one of the best countries at sport. This year alone they have come second in the world cup, won the davis cup, and was the only country with 2 tennis players in the top 15. Also Luka Modric, who won the Golden ball, best player, best midfielder, best play-maker and the ballon d'or this year, is Croatian. They also have world champions in sailing, rowing and karate. Their U16 basketball team are European champions. Sandra Perkovic became European discus champion for the record 5th time. That isn't even everything they have done this year and they are only a country of 4 million people! If that doesn't make them one of the best in the world, I don't know what can.

Football, handball, history in basketball, waterpolo, tenis, just look at the olympic medals. For example Rio, with population of 4 million, Croatia finished on 17th place in the world with 10 medals, if you look per capita, Croatia were 6th! For example, Serbia with medals they took from Yugoslavia, has smaller number of medals. In biggest competition in the world, WC in football Croatia has bronze and silver medal! Croatia won Davis Cup, the oldest competition in the world, two times! Just look at Janica and Ivica Kostelic, they have won everything in skiing, and Croatia has 1 place for skiing! That is just few things I had the will to write it down

Even though the country has been particularly successful in team sports, in which you need several good athletes to make up a team which might win one medal, whereas in some other sports one good athlete might even win several medals, Croatia has won many Olympic medals relative to its population.And many athletes belong to the greatest in their respective sport, like Blanka Vlasic, Janica Kostelic, Toni Kukoc, Ivano Balic, Sandra Perkovic, Luka Modric.
