Woah, this is only 8, The Quiet Place was masterful horror film and the best movie of this year. It was emotional, suspenseful, and the most original film of the year, if not the most original film of the decade. The ending of the movie is shocking and emotional and will bring you into tears. I absolutely loved this film. I have to admit I'm very easily spooked and more than a little squeamish so I usually stay well clear of watching Horror films. But like everyone I also have a natural fascination with the thrill I get from feeling a little scared from time to time. For me 'A Quiet Place' did that just perfectly, gradually increasing the tension and scary bits to a brilliant climax without the need for gore, graphic violence or terrifying spooky imagery. The monsters, when they came, reminded me of a cross between the 'Ursa' from 'After Earth' and the 'Future Predators' from 'Primeval' which was one of my favourite British Sci-fi T.V. shows when I was growing up. I thought it was a well written story, brilliantly acted by everyone (including the girl and boy who played the teenage Sister and Brother) and was less a horror movie and more like a very good Sci-fi film.The only thing is, now I'm hooked on the characters, I hope they make a sequel as I want them to ... more - PoppyParker

No, no, no. Sorry but this movie sucks. I'm not one of the crazy horror fans who just like the sex and gore I just like being SCARED or at least a little nervous of whats coming but A Quiet Place was so predictable during this snore fest I could predict everything and it made the film the least amount of scary or paranoia or whatever you want to call it. And the ending feels like those edgy zombie T.V. show ads you find on some random T.V. channel, sorry for anyone who likes this but this wasn't a good movie. - tacoperson

Incredibles 2 and Avengers aren't even out and somehow both rule the list. This movie should be in the top 10 (until now of course). The movie had great narrative, all characters and performances are fantastic, the plot and the idea overall are very interesting, the score is good, the tension is built so well, the direction is actually great and it's something new. This movie should receive more attention because it's actually damn good 8/10. - Ale99
