Because there was no other artist that has performed this consistently over the course of over 50 years? In the latter part of the eighties, however, he directed a movie, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and was in a band called the Travelin' Wilburys with some guys named George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, and Jeff Lynne of ELO.
