The most surprising thing about this film is that its a superhero film thats not afraid to delve into serious subject matter such in politics such as assassination, torture, terrorism, the deaths of civilians, family issues, betrayal of friendship, etc! The film manages to not be clogged or oversaturated because Marvel has proven before that they can handle large crossover films. Watching the Avengers fight each other is both awesome and horrifying! The new characters such as Black Panther and Spider-Man were well introduced! The fight scenes are amazing such as the epic airport fight and Captain America vs. Iron Man! Zeno is a very interesting villain and delivers some great thoughts for The Avengers to deal with. The conflict Captain America and Iron Man has is very compelling.
