I understand that without the beetles, bands such as coldplay, mcfly etc wouldn't exist. But that isn't an excuse to put coldplay lower on the list. Everyone has their opinions. Therefore I believe this list needs updating. Yeah I'm happy that the beetles is number one however not many people in the 21st century want to listen to Bowie and such like. Coldplay is my favourite band and has helped me through a lot of hard and upsetting periods of time in my life. Coldplay is number one in my eyes no matter how long other bands have been going for or whatever. I don't want to listen to the beetles. If it came on my radio I would switch it off. Take my opinion into account. The older people that still live in the 60s, wake up please.

Coldplay has to win it. Led Zeppelin and the Beatles were great but I have to admit that Coldplay has had some of the greatest songs this generation. Songs such as Viva la Vida and Fix You have some of the deepest lyrics ever.
