Another thing; this song/band stand out from most of the other ones on this list: it's all ligit. No auto-tune, real drums, written by Dave Grohl, not some random ten people get paid to write lyrics that a kindergartener can write. This song isn't farmed out for money, this song is great and everything about it is powerful; the meaning and vocals. This is definitely the best song of 2011, tied with every other song in this album, of course.
