I'm really disappointed about this. Mario has a very generic storyline that everyone complains about, and yet the beautifully written RPG games like the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi games are overlooked. I may be a bit biased because I love Mario, but the stories in these games are some of the best I've seen, including books and movies. That's how much I love these often overlooked games.

Mario does have an awesome story in my opinion. The best story in the Mario series has to be Rosalina's backstory in Super Mario Galaxy.
