To be honest, the movie itself isn't that bad. It's just that they took basically an oversized lizard and called it Godzilla (hence the re-naming Zilla). Obviously, the movie is not without it's flaws. Don't get me wrong, Zilla is a good monster and he looks pretty cool too, but in the movie they portray him as "just some animal" whereas Godzilla is more than an animal, but one of the most ferocious monsters to have ever been created. And another flaw is that Zilla is extremely weak. He spends most of the time running from missiles, and by the end, he gets killed by missiles. Godzilla gets hit by an entire nation of missiles and all it does is piss him off. And of course it has it's flaws, because it's a RE-IMAGINING! They made an attempt at creating their own Godzilla. They weren't shooting for a complete American remake of a previous Godzilla film, or an original American story that involves the Japanese Godzilla (I.E. 2014) like you all probably expected them.
