It's a really tough question to answer. In the end I can't pick which one's the best as every album's theme and atmosphere varies greatly.Really, in my opinion all of their albums are fantastic in their own ways.I picked this because it deserves more attention than the others. Though its really a quiet and intimate album, not to mention it sounds really different. That's enough to divide their fans and draw endless mean criticism.If you gave me only a week or two to rate it. I wouldn't hesitate to give it a 2 out of 5. I disliked it, it sounded really different and even silly to me. But, later I found out that this is the type of album that gets better the more you listen to it (duh, that applies to every album but this one just needs more time than average albums). But its truly a carefully mastered album.Fast forward 2 months or so and this changes to be my favorite album of the year 2014. This album actually has more divided fan opinions than Mylo Xyloto did. I some ways it's a lot more like old style Coldplay. In other ways, it contains their poppiest music to date. But one thing is for sure, its one hell of a relaxing album, even if the lyrical content can get you down for a bit, it doesn't last. The music is so politely charming as well.

This is my second favorite album. A lot of fans feel divided about it and I understand why. It's slow and depressing, very melancholic. But I've never heard so much beauty in heartbreak. Chris Martin turned his pain into a work of art.

Apparently this album disappointed a lot of people...I thought they had a lot of their best songs on here. O (Fly On) is one of my top 10 Coldplay songs.
