China's population is growing all the time, but rather than living in poverty (which exists, as it does in all countries, but isn't as common.), people are rich, middle class, poor, or working for the government. The government uses workers on low wages to help China become a superpower- it's working. It offers an alternative to the US and is different from it; the cruelty of poverty comes directly from the government, rather than corporations. The trade-off with this making poverty more common is that the poverty goes to use. The method is efficient, even if I disagree with it. It's got a huge military, and a huge economy. China is going to be the second world superpower.
