Listen Ezio, I played all these guys and its easiest to play with him. He is obvious for #1 but hear me out this guy ALTAIR SPARKED IT ALL! Altair is someone all the other assassins look up to. I like the fact that his character is realistic, as his character developed over time, as he betrayed his brothers but then had to go from bottom to top again, to then become a legendary assassin who's work and information gathered was sought after by the assassins to come and enemies alike, I just feel that one game was not enough to convey Altair, I think he needs more credit then he's given as he plays a crucial role in the series.

I think Altair is the best because he was the first assassin. ezio wouldn't even be an assassin if Altair didn't exist plus Altair is the most skilled and Altair is my inspiration and my nickname.ezio had to watch his own parents die right in front of him. Altair lived longer then ezio he only made it to 64 well Altair made it to 80 and Altair achieved more and accomplished more. Altair died protecting the apple of Eden and the peace of Eden and ezio had to go and steal the peace. And that's why I think Altair is the best assassin of all time

Altair definitely deserves to be the best assassin ever because he was wise and could take down a bunch of Templars at once, he was also the first assassin to use the apple of Eden and was the best at controlling its power. Altair also created many weapon designs which Ezio uses during assassin's creed 2 he also had the best free fall in my opinion!

Altair is my favorite assassin in the whole series. He is not only a skilled assassin, but a wise mentor as well. Altair for me is the greatest assasssin in the series.He has done many things for the brotherhood and he has the "real" skills and values of a "real" assassin.He is great in stealth which assassins do(Connor is an assassin but doesn't act like one)and he assassinates people swiftly and can escape through a trouble or fight and also can blend in to the crowd as as seen in the first assassin's creed cinematic trailer.I also think that he is the icon of the series because he is THE ASSASSIN!
