I'm a huge Sonic fan myself, but I say I have done a good job being that I have never interacted with one of... THOSE... Sonic fans. There are fans who are attracted to Sonic in a romantic way. This sickens me to the core. There are also others drawing these awkward pictures that contradict every character in the series. Ew.Then the final type. The austere "fans" that rebuke everything Sonic Team produces. These aren't fans. They just think they are fans. I appreciate many games and merchandise in this series, with very few items being on my bad side. These fans do not appreciate anything. I wouldn't be surprised if some fans burn what they believe isn't quality Sonic content. These people don't see the positives in the Sonic series anymore (like they ever did).Look at Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). This is surely a terrible game, but I only saw positives. To be honest, you guys are over reacting. I'm a Sonic fan, complain about everything huh? Talking to the guy who thinks that his copy of Sonic 06 is the best thing ever. Ya don't see much complaining coming out of me. Honestly though, bashing fan art and fan fiction? Most of it is trash, sure, but some of it is awesome! I have never met any people who only complain about SEGA not bringing Classic back, however, one thing I saw on this list that I won't argue with. Yeah, Mario is trash, it's the second worst game ever, it's literally just the same thing over and over again. What do I think is the WORST game ever? Load your guns now, it's Minecraft. Minecraft suucks!

I was actually once part of this fan base before I realized it was totally awful! Between the endless shipping wars and arguments over what is "cannon information", the fans were just so annoying! And the worst part is... THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING! Sonic fans are never happy about any new game and any kind of change. To their credit, Sega doesn't listen to them at all, but that is still no reason to be so augmentative and negative. Cartoon Network doesn't listen to their fans, and yes their fans complain. BUT THEY don't FIGHT ALL THE TIME!

I'm not taking about the fans that like sonic for his games, I'm talking about creeps that draw and write creepy fan fiction.It's like these so called 'fans' never played a classic sonic game, they just watch the godawful sonic x T.V. show or just know the characters and use them for their disgusting fetishes. They disrespect the character and his games in so many levels.People like this are awful and should stay the hell away from writing and drawing.

I think the worst Sonic fans would be the ones who also like Disney or the ones who ship crossover ships for no reason. (Instead of Amy Rose, these shippers rather pair up Sonic with Ranbow Dash from MLP, or worse, Fuli from The Lion Guard, which is impossible) These kinds of fans have ruined Sonic for me, and came to the point that I only see Sonic as just a video game series, and not an icon of entertainment no more. Because Sonic is becoming so well known, it's going to be hard for most people to see the series for what it is.

I am a Sonic fan. A HUGE one. Sonic fans aren't always bad people. There are a lot of fans who love Sonic for the fun games and great characters, but there are also fans who express their love for the franchise by drawing the characters, cosplaying, going to conventions, writing (good) fanfictions, and making OCs (I have 6). I personally think those all sound fun, but a lot people who do these aforementioned things to show their love for the franchise do these for very bad purposes such as making Sonic character porn, terrible fanfictions, and things like that. However, there are people who do these for good purposes such as showing their support to the franchise and the fandom itself. Not every OC is bad (call me crazy but I have 6 good ones that I want to be in a game), not every fanfiction is terrible (Nimbus Destined on Wattpad is amazing), and I really want to go to a convention some time in my life. Absolutely toxic fandom I regret ever coming back to, and it shouldn't have been my replacement for anime. Everyone hates everyone in that fandom. Art thieves are rampant in the community.
